Shuffleboard Court Restoration
Senior Citizens Memorial Park
Friends of Holstein Park, with the assistance of the Illinois Shuffleboard Association, is fundraising to restore the concrete shuffleboard court located at Senior Citizens Memorial Playlot Park (2228 N Oakley Ave). The current shuffleboard court is no longer in playable condition and will need to be removed prior to constructing a new court. The community around Holstein Park has a great deal of interest in shuffleboard and it is expected that a new court will increase the park’s usage and become a valuable asset
PROJECT PLAN:
● Remove broken concrete shuffleboard court
● Pour new reinforced, level, smooth concrete court (10ft x 52ft)
● Finish the court with shuffleboard paint and wax
● Donate equipment to the Chicago Parks District
